I mentioned that Erik & I are trying something new for dinners lately.

Basically, one of us takes full ownership over the kitchen for 3-4 consecutive days: from grocery shopping, to recipe planning, to cooking. {you’ll know when it’s Erik’s day bc his fave thing to say while cooking is “yes chef” lol}

We literally just started this last week but we are loving it. As much as I love to cook, it’s nice on the days when I’m “off” to fully kick back.

Also & I blame my enneagram: I can’t help but butt in with unsolicited advice so this helps me leave Erik alone. He has recently gotten really into cooking & I step in a little toooo much – ha!

This has helped him sharpen his skills as he has discovered his love for cooking.

Also, it helps me on my days. I can develop a recipe without any pressure & tweak things as needed. I can also try something a little out there if I have a vision on something but unsure how to make it come together

It’s a fun way to spice things up at home when it’s just the two of you!

Also, I’m trying to make a better effort at buying less and better. This helps us reduce food waste, as well as buying things that may be better for the environment… aka little pre-packaged foods, etc.

SO here’s a quick video explaining everything as well as everything I got. I’ll do these regularly on my days too! enjoy!

igtv whole foods haul!
