Outfits of the Week: 12.9 – 12.13

what i wore in san francisco this week

Happy Sunday!!

Here is everything I wore this week. As a quick refresher, I recently cleaned out my closet and put away all things out of season. Basically, I made a list off of my December aesthetic on what I was feeling for winter: cloud white, wine red, emerald green, shades of blue, ribbed & cable knits, turtlenecks, & more. This will be a fun way to see what I am rewearing & styling!

As far as my style, it’s very casual. I think the term is “normcore“? Very California casual, with soft fabrics & textures. Lots of mocknecks, flowy silhouettes, elastic waists, vintage style denim, & layers. Living in San Francisco, the majority of my closet is sweaters & sweatshirts!

I’ll try to link the exact item when I can. I buy so much resale & many of the “recent” brands I wear are finds from years past {2013-2017ish so not quite vintage} so I’ll also find similar options from brands I enjoy!

top: knit grey mockneck {similar & similar}

jeans: reformation jordi kick flares {these are extremely similar}

coat: express long faux leopard coat from this post! wearing here too

shoes: vintage cole haan square toe boots via depop

makeup: shiseido visionairy gel in scarlett rush {my fav red lipstick}

I actually saw this headband in Gossip Girl… on Blair, ofc! I HAD to have it and after some sleuthing, found out it was the L. Erickson bit headband via Amazon. It’s a little pricy for a headband so I’m going to work on a fun DIY! The bit gives me total Gucci vibes!

top: express ribbed white turtleneck {LOVE THIS SWEATER, I have it in red too. true to size, ribbed, & slinky! need it in black & pecan – seen here}

bottom: relaxed, wide leg pinstripe pants {similar}

headband: L. Erickson Bit Headband

necklace: mejuri double curb chain necklace

sorry for the dark photos, it’s been SO dreary in San Francisco. Wednesdays are always super casual because of Japanese. It’s been raining so Doc Marten’s combat boots, it is! I got these about 2 years ago and the 1460s are one of my fav purchases. I did have a bit of FOMO for not getting the platforms or the higher cut but these are the classic ones that will never go out of style. I like how flattering on the ankle they are too 🙂

top: express boxy chenille mockneck {sized up one size for extra slouch!}

bottom: reformation high & skinny jeans {same style, different wash}

shoes: doc martens nappa leather combat boots {these are next on my list}

This coat was one of my Black Friday purchases from this post & it just came in today! I am OBSESSED with it. I was looking to upgrade my current teddy coat and this is a pure winner. 100000/10 can’t recc enough!

top: karen scott ribbed turtleneck {follow my depop}

coat: mango sheepskin jacket {wearing a small and it’s PERFECT! enough room to layer but looks great over a single layer too}

bottom: reformation serena high & skinny {erik loves these on me}

necklace: ettika supreme mixed chain necklace

Can we please talk about this necklace? It was originally over $100 & I only got it for $12 from Vanessa Mooney – discussed in the Black Friday sales! I LOVE the retro feel of it and can’t wait to wear it with a turtleneck. Also, these sweat pants from Brandy Melville are my ABSOLUTE favourite. They remind me of moon pants! In fact, I grew up skiing {stopped when I was 18!} & these remind me a LOT of ski pants… & I a a big fan of ski clothes!

top: Brandy Melville Thermal {similar, similar, & loooove this one}

bottom: brandy melville track pants

necklace: vanessa mooney voyager necklace {sold out – shop vanessa mooney here – 15% off!}
