A festive, fun, free Halloweekend activity!

fun to do by yourself or for two!

Happy Friday!!

I can’t believe it’s already Halloween weekend. I feel like this entire year is just flying by.

Lately, every morning, I’ve been taking a daily walk. Basically, I try to take at least an hour to get outside, go on a walk, & work on some of my more analog tasks outside.

Not only is the walk itself suuuuch a head clearer but it’s fun to get out in San Francisco & discover little pockets of this city.

This week, I had a little tradition with myself and my walks. I’d go to various areas in either the Marina District or Cow Hollow & go see all the Halloween decorations!

I remember when I moved here around this time 6 years ago, I loved the Marina during Halloween. I find a lot of the houses & even apartments really get into the spirit here.

It’s been fun to walk the streets in the crisp fall air {even when it’s 80 degrees, the air is still nice & autumny} & see the decor.

Some houses go all out, some houses are more minimal but they all bring a smile to my face.

It’s also a bit nostalgic… it kind of reminds me of being younger and driving around to see all the Christmas decorations…. but instead it’s even better because it’s Halloween! {love Halloween & New Year’s – my 2 fav holidays <3}

If you don’t have any plans this weekend, go walk around your neighborhood & see all the different decorations! Take some snaps & post them on Instagram! It’s so fun to both see & share little pockets of where you live.

Super cute solo or date idea but also something to do with your girlfriends or little ones! Bring some spiced {or spiked 🙂 } cider or cocoa, orrrr mulled wine & take a stroll to see all the Halloween decorations! May I suggest going right before sunset? I just love that golden glow this time of the year. 🙂

I’d love to see how Halloween looks in your world. I’ll be sharing mine for sure 🙂 ps- if you’re in SF or near the Marina District, may I suggest Avila Street? It’s a short street right off of Chestnut Street that’s predominately families so they always tend to have fun decorations! Then go hit up either Campus or Marina Lounge afterwards… Erik & I love those two bars here. {Chestnut Street guide coming next week!!!}

Any fun Halloween weekend plans? Erik & I will be at Pinots and Plaid tomorrow – an inaugeral event showcasing some of Northern California’s wonderful Pinots! Then, we are off to our friend’s for a Halloween party. The theme is 90s movie and I don’t have a costume yet. SOS any ideas?!

Have a lovely weekend!

    Joey and I just took a walk through our neighborhood yesterday for AN HOUR. It was super nice and I was surprised at how many homes decorated this year since my parents’ neighborhood is bare and boring lol.

    Great tradition 🙂
