I have always really liked Emily Ratajkowski aka @emrata ever since 2013

Not only is she drop dead gorgeous, but I have always really loved her style {she’s someone I find a lot of inspo from} & how outspoken she is.

She recently collaborated with Nasty Gal on the EMRATA X NASTY GAL collection and it’s one I really, really love. In fact, if you love the 80s, 90s, & 2000s references as much as I do, you will love it too!

Her style is bold, unapologetic with hints of vintage thrown in.

Here is a great interview with Emily about her collection, her inspiration, & of course empowering other women.

I’m currently on a shopping ban so I can’t buy anything yet but any of the items I find I can’t stop thinking of, I’ll treat myself to.

In fact, this is how I shop on depop – I NEVER buy immediately {unless it’s one of these dior shirts which actually has shopping ban permission since they are hard to find}. Basically, I go ahead & like the item. If it sells out then too bad for me. If I can’t stop thinking of it and know how to apply it to my own closet, then I press purchase.

SO: currently on my radar is this collaboration & here are all the pieces I want.

ps – the pieces may seem pricey but nasty gal is always having sales and they apply to this collection too! {currently everything is 50% off}

EMRATA Business As Usual Oversized Double Breasted Blazer – $100

EMRATA Business As Usual Wide-Leg Belted Pants – $80

The second I saw this co-ord, it went #1 on my list. I love everything about it, especially the oversized fit. I also love how it looks with nothing on underneath but would also style it with my oversized button downs or a crop top {I ONLY like crop tops on me if it’s with a high-waist pant & even better w a blazer}. This gives me total 80s Wall Street powersuit vibes & I love the sheen to the fabric. It comes in a soft blush & tan but the tan is the one that’s calling out to me .

Another 80s inspired powersuit that dropped my jaw. The first thing I thought of was Miami Vice which I am alllll about. I love that it’s white satin & would be so fun to pair with pastels. I’d even wear the blazer to the beach with a pastel swimsuit underneath. It also has a metallic sheen which I love.

EMRATA Touch My Body Satin Cami Top – $50

this cami just screams 90s! In fact, it’s perfectly named because I got instant 90s/00s pop star vibes from it… especially Mariah Carey! I love the pastel lavender {would be so chic with the suit above} & am a sucker for a cowl neck satin cami

EMRATA Get Your Sleek On Satin Bias Cut Skirt – $60

A bias cut satin skirt has been on my wishlist for quite a while but I haven’t found the right one but this one looks perfect. I also love that it matches the above top perfectly for a perfect co-ord look. It also comes in mint green but the cami above only comes in lavender.

EMRATA Lookin’ Like a Vision Linen Wide-Leg Pants – $80

Linen pants are my JAM. I love summertime because it’s time to break out the white linens. If I had to describe my perfect pair of pants, it would be: high-waisted, thick elastic waist, wide leg, linen & preferably white…. & these check all of those boxes. I’d 100% wear these with my favourite vintage dior chemises.

check out the entire emrata x nasty gal collection!

I know I shop predominantly vintage but anything from this era that does catch my eye & I know will last my taste throughout the years, I do put on my list to buy. After all, the 2000s weren’t too long ago {& I still rewear a lot of things from that era, like my low-rise true religions} & we will be thinking the same about our current decade years down the line.

If you see my capsule wardrobe spreadsheet, I included the years I purchased things so even if it’s something I purchased new, it’s something I won’t part with year after year.

Anything you’re loving from the collection? Let me know!
